Life Orientation: Grade 8 to Grade 12

Life Orientation is a compulsory school subject that is broken up into 4 parts - Personal Well-being, Citizenship education, Recreation and physical well-being, and Career and career choices. It is a vitally important subject as it covers everyday life issues.

As a requirement to enter a degee course at University, learners will need to achieve at least 60% in this subject.

In Grade 8 and 9 our practical component is called ISP (Internal Sports Programme). THe learners are put through fitness tests and other forms of testing to give them an idea of which sports and specifically which position would be best suited for them.

In the FET Band, Life Orientation contains numerous tasks and projects that need to be completed and submitted in a portfolio.
