The School Counsellor provides help to pupils with their academic progress, personal problems, decisions concerning their careers and also attempts to help pupils understand themselves and their environment better, in order that they may make wise decisions and accept responsibility for the outcome of these decisions. A Careers Guidance Service is provided which encompasses counselling, making up-to-date Careers Information available, liaising with outside agencies and assisting pupils with University, Bursary and Job applications.
