Matrics honoured at PBHS
 
PINETOWN Boys’ High School held its annual Speech and Awards Day to honour its hardworking matriculants recently.

Michael Etchells was Dux and Ashil Dwarkapersad was Proxime Accessit (runner up to Dux).
Sandile Landi received the Perseverance Prize. In spite of severe problems caused by a deteriorating eye condition, he persevered with his studies, bringing his academic achievements to an impressive level.

The Citizenship Prize was awarded to Graeme Thorne for his involvement in school matters. He proved to be an excellent head prefect of the GET phase while supporting his FET counterpart and the prefects. He has also achieved the highest award for scouting, being a Springbok Scout.

The AG Visser Award went to Lwazi Cele for being a good role model to other pupils and for his leadership skills. Sibusiso Nhlapho received the Brenden Duncan Memorial Award for his positive impact on school life.

Acting principal Dave Aitken, wished all matriculants good luck for their final exams and every success for the future.
