At PBHS, Lindokuhle Ndlovu will be among dancers from around South Africa and the world doing what he does best in The United Kingdom in August. Ndlovu (17) said he started dancing at the age of 11 for the Dance Sport School League (DSSL). The grade 11 learner’s face beams with pride when he speaks about his passion as he said he enjoys dancing. “I believe dancing has always been apart of me”.
Growing up, Lindokuhle said he would watch and expose himself to dance shows and programmes such as World of Dance, Street Dance and Step Up, with Step Up being the most notableand one that inspired him a lot because of his love for hip hop (dance). Being a diverse dancer, he is also a fan of the local music genre and dance style called Amapiano. ‘ I always practise any dance genre that constructively builds my craft’. For Lindokuhle dancing is not just a movement of the body but a way of expressing himself. “Through specific movement and gestures, I can express my emotions and any message I want to portray” he said.
