We are thrilled to announce that one of our own, Xolane Andre MHLONGO (TJ Mhlongo) who matriculated from Pinetown Boys’ High School in 2017, is now playing professional basketball for the KZN Marlins in the South African Basketball Pro League! 

Not only is Mr. Mhlongo excelling in his professional career, but he is also giving back to our school by coaching our 1st Team Basketball in 2024. Under his guidance, the team won the league in Term 1 and recently competed against South Africa’s Top 12 elite basketball teams at Westville Boys’ High. Although the results didn’t go as we hoped, the experience was invaluable, and our boys learned so much from the challenge. 

Pinetown Boys’ is truly blessed to have Mr. Mhlongo, who is bringing basketball back to its former glory while balancing his pro career.  Keep up the amazing work, Coach!
